Record Graduates from Construction Education Foundation (CEF)

IRVING, TX – June 15, 2015 – Polk Mechanical Company celebrates a record number of plumbing graduates at the CEF Graduation & Awards Ceremony held at the Westin Hotel in Irving, TX. A standing room only crowd of industry leaders, family, friends, and co-workers gathered to see graduates not only from the plumbing discipline, but also electrical, pipefitting, welding, HVAC, and sheetmetal trades walk across the stage to loud cheers and applause. One hundred thirty four (134) in all graduated from their respective trades. After years of long hours, hard work, and family sacrifice, eighteen (18) plumbers and one (1) STP graduate from Polk Mechanical Company crossed the stage to receive their diplomas.

At Polk Mechanical Company, we recognize that if we are to meet the demands of a growing workforce we must invest in training the next generation of craft workers. Nearly 65% of the plumber apprentices graduating this semester work for Polk Mechanical Company, proof once again of our commitment to the development of our employees and the improvement of our industry.

Additionally, one of Polk’s CEF instructors was honored with the “2015 Whatever it Takes Award” and one of our students received the Plumbing Top Graduate award. Congratulations to the CEF Spring Class of 2015. You truly are CHAMPIONS!
