“ Their goal was to climb the highest mountain on each of the seven continents. It was an imposing list: Aconcagua in South America, Everest in Asia, McKinley in North America, Kilimanjaro in Africa, Elbrus in Europe, Vinson in Antarctica, Kosciuszko in Australia… no one had ever scaled all seven Summits.
To do so would be an accomplishment coveted by the World‘s best mountaineers. ”
In 1985 Richard Bass and his team took on the adventure challenge of a lifetime when they set out to accomplish something that had never been done before – summit each of the highest mountains, on each of the seven continents. This incredible feat became known as the Seven Summits. Seven Summits not only represents accomplishing something that has never been done before, but also represents a mindset of continually surpassing your personal best record and continually improving in all areas of business and life.
Seven Summits became our theme for 2015 as we set out to define our great adventure and develop plans to conquer our personal best records and put our company on a path to accomplish heights never before seen – our Seven Summits.
We identified our personal best records in the following areas, and then went to work developing the plans and preparing the team for the exciting adventure to accomplish something bigger than we had ever done before – surpassing each of our SEVEN SUMMITS.
