Press Release – Dennis Williamson Retires from Polk Mechanical
Grand Prairie, TX May 16, 2008 – Polk Mechanical Co. LLC, a Grand Prairie based firm, and a leading facility service provider in the Dallas – Ft. Worth area as well as the Houston / Bay area, announced the retirement of Dennis Williamson, Account Manager.
Some people are nearly impossible to replace, and Dennis is one of those people. Dennis enjoyed a long and prosperous career in the mechanical construction business. He began his career in construction in 1965 working for a local roofing company and going to school two nights a week at Arlington State (now University of Texas at Arlington) and Sheet Metal Apprentice School two nights a week. In 1967 Mr. Williamson joined Universal Sheet Metal and continued his work in college and the apprentice program. Later, Universal Sheet Metal became the DeMoss Company. Dennis worked in all phases of the business, spending time in the field, detailing and project management.
In 1981, Dennis rose to VP of Construction with the DeMoss Company where he served for over 10 years. In 1992, Mr. Williamson started work for Trinity Contractors as Manager of Sheet Metal Operations & Detailing. For the past 16 years Dennis, although working in the same office building, spent time with Group Mac, Encompass, and for the last 6 years, Polk Mechanical.
At Polk, Dennis served as an Account Manager delivering great customer service to his clients. One of Dennis’ core customers said, “We love the guy, and we will miss him a lot.” Another customer said “Whoever replaces him will have large shoes to fill.” These are all great testimonies of the customer service philosophy here at Polk, and the true nature of Dennis Williamson. He will be greatly missed.
