Polk Mechanical Brings Health Care to Fort Worth with THR Alliance

THR alliance

The city of Fort Worth has seen explosive growth over the past 5 years, adding close to 20,000 new residents in the last two years alone. The road construction surrounding Fort Worth is enough to convince just about anyone of the Texas-sized boom. This kind of expansion often leads to infrastructure growing pains.

Polk Mechanical is doing our part to ease those pains by partnering with some great companies to expand Texas Health Resource’s hospital facility in north Fort Worth.  The current hospital facility often reaches capacity, which makes it difficult to take in new emergency cases that can pop in at any moment. The time for growth has come, THR Alliance is ready for big changes.

The project started in June 2016 with a new expansion that will house larger, updated emergency department facilities. Once the expansion is completed, the emergency department will move into the new building and a complete renovation of the current emergency space will take place, along with a renovation of the 2nd floor Med-Surge unit. The project will double the size of their current emergency department and create a footprint that will allow the hospital to add 6 additional floors of vertical expansion as the number of patients continues to rise.

Polk Mechanical has completed 23,000 hours on this jobsite as of September 2017 and is excited about progress that has been made on the building. Our estimated date of completion is May 2018 and we expect to have clicked 31,000 hours before we are done.
