Their actions define the values and culture of our company. They are a devoted team of professionals, dedicating every second of their workday to serving our customers.
It is the job of the executive team below to provide them the tools, training, and support they need to deliver the important work we do. Our job is to stay out of their way!
KEN POLK – FOUNDER
Ken, now retired, has paved the way for the future leaders to carry on his commitment to the highest quality installations, outstanding safety, exemplary customer service, and opportunities for Polk Mechanical’s employees.
JON GRIME – CEO
Jon is responsible for the accomplishment of short- and long-term strategic, financial and operational goals and directs the
development of the organization to ensure future growth and success. Jon also sits on multiple boards, including the Construction Education Foundation (CEF) board where he is directly responsible for advising the team and training the next generation of skilled craftsmen.
BARRY DUNCAN – CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Barry brings diverse experience in accounting services, treasury, information systems, manufacturing, production control, mergers and acquisitions, SEC reporting and international operations.
DEREK HYZAK – CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
With more than 20 years of experience in the mechanical construction industry, Derek has built a reputation for delivering complex, large-scale projects on time and within budget while fostering strong partnerships with clients and project teams. At Polk, he is responsible for development and execution of the commercial and industrial construction business in both DFW & Houston
JENNIFER HUNTER – CHIEF HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER
Jennifer oversees the full spectrum of People Operations, including Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, HR and Marketing, bringing a dynamic combination of strategic vision and operational excellence to her role. Jennifer’s leadership is grounded in collaboration and empowerment—she’s committed to building an environment that fosters learning, growth, and engagement across all levels of the company.
MARK SLEDGE – EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT SERVICE
Mark is responsible for all aspects of our Texas Service Team. He brings a wealth of industry knowledge and experience in commercial HVAC/R, plumbing, compressed air, mechanical maintenance and energy management to Polk Mechanical Company.
TAYLOR BROOKS – VICE PRESIDENT FINANCE
Taylor is a seasoned finance executive with a CPA and over 15 years of experience leading accounting, financial reporting, audit and enterprise finance functions for complex, multi-entity organizations. He has partnered extensively with executive leadership and Board of Directors to drive financial performance, strengthen controls, and execute large-scale process and systems transformations. His background includes senior leadership roles in public and private companies, with deep expertise in GAAP, SEC reporting, audits, forecasting, and operational efficiency.
DAVID YOUDEN – VP of MAJOR PROJECTS
Dave’s unparalleled comprehensive understanding of mechanical projects from start to finish distinguishes him in the nation. He has provided leadership on the construction some of the most complex facilities in the country, from massive professional sports arenas to cutting-edge data centers and now leads the Major Projects group at Polk Mechanical.
CHRISTOPHER LUBEROFF – VP of HOUSTON CONSTRUCTION
Chris brings new excitement and energy to our Houston Construction team having been promoted from within Polk Nation. Chris managed one of our largest profit centers in DFW before accepting the challenge to lead the Houston office following the retirement of its previous manager. Chris is passionate about employee culture and client satisfaction.
TRAVIS GILL – VP of CENTRAL TEXAS CONSTRUCTION
Travis has quickly advanced through leadership roles here at Polk from Project Manager to Central Texas Group Manager, and now VP – demonstrating both technical expertise and a strong ability to build high-performing teams. His project portfolio includes major healthcare, commercial, and institutional developments, where he has successfully managed large-scale renovations, expansions, and ground-up builds. Travis oversees all facets of our Central Texas projects, ensuring they are executed with precision, safety, and the high standards Polk is known for.
DON MCHUGH – VP of DFW INDUSTRIAL CONSTRUCTION
Don provides leadership to a team focused on end users and manufacturers in areas such as Food & Beverage, Pulp & Paper, Building Materials, Chemicals, Packaging, and several others.
BRAD ROGERS – VP of PRECONSTRUCTION
Brad’s leadership has transformed how Polk’s customers benefit from our preconstruction and sales operations. Because Brad has worked in just about every role at a mechanical contracting firm, including estimator, project manager, industry strategic partner, business development manager, and corporate leader- he brings a perspective and wealth of expertise.
BRANDON BURBACK – DIRECTOR of FIELD OPERATIONS
As Director of Field Operations, Brandon brings more than 15 years of experience in Commercial HVAC and mechanical construction, with a strong background in field leadership and operations. Having advanced through multiple leadership roles, he over sees all of Polk’s projects and field teams while driving safety, quality, and operational excellence across the organization.
LUIS PEREZ – DIRECTOR of SAFETY
Luis leads Polk’s safety department, a growing team of dedicated construction safety professionals. Luis is an accomplished safety and risk management leader with deep experience in construction and industrial environments. He is known for building strong safety cultures through proactive risk mitigation, field engagement and leadership development, driving safer and more accountable operations.
