Coronavirus Update

Polk Nation,

As a part of his Phase I plan, Texas Governor Abbott has provided guidelines for businesses to gradually re-open throughout the state that began May 1st. We have evaluated those guidelines and wanted to give a quick update to make sure you have the latest information on our plans to get our business “back to normal.” For the continued safety of our employees, Polk Mechanical will not be changing any of the existing protocols for our offices, jobsites or those working remotely during Governor Abbott’s Phase I plan – so stay the current course. Should you have any questions or need more PPE supplies to ensure your safety, please contact your supervisor.

We are closely monitoring the manpower planning for each job site and expect all employees who are assigned to a job site to continue to report to that job site each day.  If you cannot report to the assigned job site for any reason, you must contact the PolkNation job site Superintendent, General Superintendent (DFW John Lewis 214-908-0610 or HOU Ruben Fernandez 713-724-4451), or VP of HR James Sims 469-951-8256 immediately.  We want to make sure we help you through the issue you have with returning to your assigned job site.

If your job site has been shut down by the customer or the General Contractor, you are expected to report to the Grand Prairie or Houston Warehouse the next day unless otherwise instructed by the General Superintendent.

We expect Phase II of Governor Abbott’s re-opening plan to be in place by May 18th and we will provide further guidance at that time.

It is with much gratitude for your commitment and our ability to stay the course amid some steep obstacles that we thank you on behalf of our company, our industry, and most importantly, the lives you are touching each day through the work you do.
