Fran McCann
Chief Operating Officer
As Chief Operating Officer, Fran is responsible for the service and construction operations of the organization and provides direction and structure to all of Polk Mechanical's operating groups. Fran is responsible for the accomplishment of short- and long-term strategic, financial and operational goals and directs the development of the organization to ensure future growth and success.
Fran started his career in the mechanical industry at Trinity Contractors as an entry level project manager trainee, but quickly advanced to a project manager overseeing multi-million dollar commercial and industrial contracts across the state of Texas performing a variety of projects from maximum security prisons, multi-story office buildings and central plants to specialty chemical processing plants and semiconductor wafer fabrication facilities. After a merger between Trinity and Encompass, Fran became the DFW Group operations manager responsible for sales and construction. He later served as Director of Operations for the Encompass South Central Region providing operational support and oversight to 8 operating groups spread across Texas and Oklahoma. In that role Fran was responsible for process implementation and improvements including job planning, strategic purchasing, pre-fabrication, web based accounting automation, financial forecasting and project management recruiting, training and development.
Fran is a member of Associated Builders & Contractors of North Texas and has most recently served as the 2007 Chairman for the ABCNT Education Committee. He has previously served on the ABC Construction Image Awareness Committee, and the Bass Tournament Committee. Additionally, Fran has been recognized 3 times nationally and 6 times locally as an Associated Builders and Contractors Excellence in Construction Award winner. Mr. McCann holds a B.S. in Construction Science from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.
