Bob Pruden
Vice President, Manager - DFW Service Group
As Vice President and Manager of the Dallas Ft. Worth Service Group, Mr. Pruden is responsible for all aspects of daily operation within our HVAC/R, Plumbing and Environmental divisions. With over 30 years of Mechanical Service Contracting experience, Mr. Pruden brings a wealth of industry knowledge and experience in commercial HVAC/R, plumbing, compressed air, mechanical maintenance and energy management to Polk Mechanical Company. He has served in leadership and service management roles with both equipment manufacturers and independent commercial contractors. Mr. Pruden is a licensed State of Texas Air Conditioning Contractor, holds a Universal Refrigerant Certification and is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers.
Mr. Pruden's career began in 1977 at Frymire Engineering as a service technician with their commercial air conditioning group performing service and installation on refrigeration equipment. He spent his weekends installing residential systems for a regional residential developer, Fox & Jacobs.
A year later he accepted a position with Natkin Service Company, a national independent contractor, as the Service Coordinator. Over the next six years he accepted positions of increasing responsibility to become the Asst. Vice President and DFW District Manager. He held that position for the next seventeen years earning numerous industry certifications and awards for district safety, sales production and financial performance.
In 2002, Mr. Pruden accepted the position of Service Solutions Manager for Texas Trane. He was responsible for the operations of five service groups covering North, Central and West Texas. Under his leadership the service division set a company record for customer satisfaction and increased annual operating profit by 71%.
In 2004, Mr. Pruden joined the leadership team of Polk Mechanical Company where he continues to be committed to delivering exceptional customer service through safe and diversified service offerings.
